Residents of Virginia’s 1st Congressional district are welcomed to discuss serious issues facing Congress in a community-wide Town Hall Meeting to be held at Essex High School. The public Town Hall is scheduled for the evening of Thursday, April 20, and the challengers to the 1st Congressional seat will be there to respond to constituents’ questions face-to-face.
Rep. Wittman was unable to attend any Town Hall Meetings in person during 2017’s first State Work Period in February as he was visiting Mississippi the entire period. His constituents have complained his “tele-townhall” of March 2, was held with very little advance notice and did not allow for questions to be addressed sufficiently.
The congressman was invited to participate in this Town Hall, but has declined due to another speaking engagement.
