After a special Town Council meeting on Thursday, July 26, and public hearing, the Town of Warsaw is moving forward with the purchase of property; a little blue building, at 549 Main Street. The council members in attendance agreed the purchase was a good idea, the price of which is at this time is set at $117,500.
The funds for the purchase of this property, according to Warsaw Town Manager Joseph Quesenberry, come entirely from the sale of what was Warsaw Manor. “It’s a good spot,” he said. “It serves the purpose we are looking for, and this opens up the transmission shop to the private sector.” The transmission shop sits in front of the park and is currently owned by the town. Warsaw will hold a public hearing on the idea of selling or renting the transmission shop to a private entity at their August 9 meeting at 7 p.m.
