First Responders and community members from across the Northern Neck gathered at Tractor Supply in Warsaw over the weekend for a special celebration honoring the many brave men and women who work daily to keep our area safe and protected. Firefighters, police officers, and emergency medical personnel filled the parking lot with their various vehicles putting them on display for all to see and enjoy. Children and adults of all ages were thrilled to be able to view the light displays of the vehicles, hear the various sounds and horns, and learn about the equipment necessary for the responders to do their jobs.
Other organizations gathered to share information about their activities and programs and to show their support for the first responders as well. The Society of the War of 1812 was present with a display of historical American flags offering history factoids to passersby. Through the organization, interested persons can trace their ancestry to learn more about the roles their forefathers may have played in America’s history.
