After two terms, Richmond County Dist. 4 Supervisor Courtney Sisson announced this week that she has decided not to seek a third term.
Sisson released a statement on Monday thanking her constituents for their support and noting that her dedication to the county will not waver.
“For the past two terms as District 4 Supervisor, I conscientiously served all citizens of Richmond County putting the welfare and best interests of the County first,” Sisson said. “Throughout my tenure on the Board of Supervisors, I strongly supported Richmond County Public Schools and the establishment of the County Emergency Services department. While the direction and objectives of Richmond County’s leadership have changed during my years on the Board, I remained steadfast in my convictions and responsible to the voters who depended on me to be their voice.”
