Raiders runners continue to stride

The Rappahannock Raiders cross country team ran in a three team (Lancaster Red Devils and Northumberland Indians) at Lancaster on Wednesday, October 17. Will Franklin was the crossed the line third in 18:34, Nicholas Pierson was fourth in 18:45, and Carter Bunch finished fourteenth in 22:19. The Lady Raiders Carissa Walder was tenth in 27:30 and Reagan White was fifteenth in 32:27. The Raiders continue to run hard as individuals because they don’t have enough runners to qualify as a team. The Indians Zae Moore 18:50 was fifth, Aiden Swisher 19:54 seventh, A Ashton 20:09 was ninth, D Perez 22:08 thirteenth, and T Mullins 24:05 seventeenth. The Lady Indians Addie Swisher 21:41 was second, C Sisk (JV) 22:50 third, Zainabu Kangethe 24:24 fourth, S Blake (JV) 25:01 fifth, B Blake 25:46 sixth, and A English 27:48 eleventh. The Red Devils D Veney was first in 17:42, D Harding 17:48 came in second, Z Kane 19:02 was sixth, M Lee 20:03 eighth, A Wilmore 20:57 tenth, M Keeve 21:23 eleventh, T Vanderpool 21:33 twelfth, and J Scott (Jv) 22:27 fifteenth, M Foulkes (Jv) 22:34 sixteenth. The Lady Red Devils H Smith crossed the line first in 20:11, C Boyd 26:05 seventh, M Pollard 26:25 eighth, K Seaver 27:04 ninth, K Oren 27:59 twelfth, L Waters 30:50 thirteenth, W Nelson 31:20 fourteenth, and B Savoy 37:26 sixteenth. The NND cross-country meet will be held at Lancaster High School on Wednesday, October 24. The teams and individuals will be vying for spots in the Regional meet.
