The Rappahannock Raiders baseball team traveled to the King William Cavaliers on Tuesday, March 12, and recorded their first victory of the 2019 season. The Cavaliers scored in the bottom of the second to go up (0-1). The Raiders tied the game (1-1) in the top of the fourth inning; they plated two more runs in the fifth to take their first lead of the game (3-1). The home team came back in the bottom of the inning with two runs to tie the game (3-3). The Raiders played small ball in the sixth when Kraig Norman laid down a bunt to score a run that led to a three-run inning and a (6-3) advantage. The Cavaliers got one run in the final two innings to make it a one-run game (6-5). Joseph Pierson started the game on the hill for the Raiders and went 4.1 innings with 7 K’s and 3 hits allowed.
