Proposed ramp continues to divide citizens

With 10 minutes before the 7 p.m. Call to Order on Thursday for the Lancaster County Board of Supervisors meeting, almost all of the seats had been taken.
Citizens had come to address the issue concerning Dymer Creek and Simmons Cove—the proposed boat ramp, associated dredging and implementation of aids to navigation.  A parcel of waterfront property had recently been deeded to the county, and since then there has been debate over whether or not a boat ramp should be built at the location.
The majority of speakers campaigned against the ramp.
Reasons given against the ramp included money—the project is estimated at approximately $425,000 for the ramp, initial dredging and navigation aids.  It was not clear if any land-based…
