Family Services Specialist Peggy Flannery and several other members of Richmond County Social Services began their yearly acknowledgment of Child Abuse Prevention Month by placing pinwheels in front of the Circuit Court Building in Warsaw on Monday, April 1.
“The children of Richmond County and throughout Virginia are very worthy,” said Flannery. “There’s so much we can do to help these children get a great start and to prevent abuse and neglect. The citizens of this county are such a wonderful bunch and I think we will have a great response and we appreciate everything that the citizens do to support children in this county.”
