The Virginia initiative for Growth and Opportunity, GO Virginia, held its first of five public meetings June 28 on the RCC Glenns campus. The meeting was designed to glean input from the public regarding economic growth drivers or barriers in designated regions of Virginia. Broadband access is still high on the list of needs for the Northern Neck and Middle Peninsula regions among other challenges. The group identified positive assets, challenges and future desired headlines.
The attendees, comprised of county officials, education representatives, economic development members, and other entities, heard firsthand about the development of GO Virginia and what it means to the growth in their respective counties.
