Lady Scotties win four games in a week

The St. Margaret’s Lady Scotties defeated the St. Gertrude Lady Gators, St. Catherine’s Lady Saints, James River Lady Knights, and the Amanda-Clearcreek Aces from Ohio in games on April 1, 3, and 6. The Lady Scotties put up 17 runs on the Lady Gators to win (17-1). They scored first with five runs in the first and second innings then two in the third and five more in the fourth. Autumn Courtney had 3 hits with 1 homerun, 4 rbi’s, and scored three runs, Lauren Stanley 2 hits, 3 rbi’s, and scored 3 runs, Zoe Truxon 2 hits with 1 homerun, 2 rbi’s, and scored 4 runs, Sydney Trent 2 hits, 2 rbi’s, and scored 1 run, Bobbi Leighton 1 hit and 2 rbi’s, and Gracie Byrd 2 hits and scored 4 runs. Autumn Courtney was in the circle for five innings with 11 K’s, 1 hit, and 1 run allowed. At the Lady Saints, they were first to score with three runs in the first, two in the second, one in the fifth, five in the sixth, and two in the seventh to win (13-3). Lauren Stanley had 3 hits with 1 homerun, 5 rbi’s, Carrie Fox 3 hits, 2 rbi’s, Zoe Truxon 2 hits with 1 homerun, 1 rbi, Sydney Trent 2 hits, 1 rbi, and scored 3 runs, and Gracie Byrd 2 hits and scored 3 runs. Autumn Courtney went seven innings with 8 K’s, 4 hits, and 3 runs allowed. The Lady Scotties traveled to Roanoke to play in the Botetourt Bash tournament on Saturday, April 6.
