Hypnosis for a healthier lifestyle

Kathy Jeter was looking for a way to alleviate her anxiety.
“I lost my sister and I work three jobs,” said Jeter, a member of the Essex County fire department and rescue squad.
She had tried “everything in the world” from diets to exercise programs before JD Johnson, also on the Essex County rescue squad, recommended that she try hypnotism. He and his wife, Stacey, had started Virginia Middle Peninsula Hypnosis in the home nestled in a scenic neighborhood along the Rappahannock River to not only have a business they could do together, but also to help their community.
“When I did the first session, I came out of it and I didn’t drink any soda anymore!” said Jeter. “I was basically a person who woke up in the mornings and, when my feet hit the floor, I drank a coke and I’d put down a 2-liter in a day’s time.”
Following hypnotism, Jeter said she saved 10 2-liter bottles of soda within a week, just by herself.
“Now I’ve kind of switched over where everything is water now and I drink milk,” said Jeter, and she isn’t the only one; her teenaged kids have also followed her example in switching over to water, milk and juice.
