Following a string of vehicles appearing, one in a pond on Three Way Road and the other set ablaze in Westmoreland, both separate incidents, Richmond County is now investigating the possible murder of Edwardo “Jay” Garner of Farnham.
According to a release from the sheriff’s department on Saturday, July 21, the sheriff’s department responded to a call at about 2:24 a.m. about a vehicle that was stopped in the area of Route 3 near Farnham Creek Road. At the scene, deputies found the vehicle and a body lying next to it. Garner was pronounced dead at the scene from an apparent gunshot wound. Garners deferred disposition had been scheduled in Northumberland Circuit Court on July 24.
