Freeing a nation

“I was trying to manage my father’s company, which was seventy percent down; I was trying to be a good husband to my beautiful wife; I was trying to be a good father to my fifteen year old daughter; I was trying to be a good father to my twelve year old son, and I was trying to overthrow the government,” said Kurt Muse. In a tongue-in-cheek manner, Muse described his time management challenges while at the same time provided the audience with a preview into the climate of the Republic of Panama, during the reign of dictator Manuel Noriega, and Muse’s efforts to overthrow the leader. Muse kept the audience on the edges of their seats as he vividly described his arrest imprisonment and eventual freedom to a full house of Friends of the Library members and guests, May 25, at St. John’s Episcopal Church, Warsaw.
