Dakota Theriot, former Richmond County resident, was virtually silent as he stood before Judge John Martin during his extradition hearing Friday morning in Richmond County General District Court. Theriot, through his court appointed attorney, waived extradition and is now headed back to Louisiana to face five counts of first-degree murder.
Theriot is accused of fatally shooting Billy Ernest, his son Tanner and daughter Summer in their Livingston Parish home the morning of January 26. Authorities believe he then drove to Ascension Parish, where his parents, Keith and Elizabeth Theriot, lived, shooting them both.
