The Friends of Belle Isle will host the United States Navy band Country Current at 6 p.m. in the first of the state park’s “Music on the River” series. Attendees can bring a picnic dinner and chairs or a blanket.

Memorial Day Ceremony at the War Memorial in Tappahannock @ War Memorial

A Memorial Day Ceremony will be held at the War Memorial in Tappahannock starting at 10:30 a.m.  The ceremony is sponsored by the Woman’s Club of Essex County with able assistance from a group of area veterans.

American Legion Post 148 will host a Memorial Service @ War Memorial in Colonial Beach

American Legion Post 148 will host a Memorial Service at the war memorial in Colonial Beach at 11 a.m. Open house will follow at the post home on Colonial Avenue. In case of inclement weather the entire ceremony will be held at the post home.

Montross TEA Party hosts a Memorial Day Observance @ Montross Courthouse Square
