Basics of Communication workshop @ Mary Washington Small Business Dev. Center

The University of Mary Washington Small Business Development Center Warsaw office will be offering a Basics of Communication workshop from 1  to 3 p.m. at the Warsaw office. This topic introduces students to basic concepts within the sphere of communication and gives them the opportunity to apply these concepts to a real business case. . Field Outing at Chilton Woods State Forest @ Chilton Woods State Forest in Lancaster Co.

The Northern Neck Native Chapter of the Virginia Native Plant Society will sponsor a field outing from 10 a.m. til noon at Chilton Woods State Forest in Lancaster County. The public is invited to enjoy a walk in the woods to search for the unusually fascinating skunk cabbage, Symplocarpus foetidus. Call the Ferriters, 804-462-6242.

Westmoreland County Republican Committee will hold a regular meeting @ American Legion Hall

Noon, at the American Legion Hall, 14576 Kings Hwy, Montross, VA 22520, the Westmoreland County Republican Committee will hold a regular meeting. Spaghetti lunch will be served free of charge. Attendees to bring own refreshments. All Westmoreland County residents who agree with the Republican Creed and support the Republican Party are invited.

Ma Margaret’s House B&B and the historic Northern Neck Farm Museum are teaming up to participate in LOVEwork, an extension of the Virginia Tourism Corporation’s Virginia is for Lovers campaign. Ma Margaret’s House B&B and the Farm Museum is hosting a contest among Northumberland High School students who will compete to design the winning concept. A gallery reception, display of student designs and judging will be held at 4 p.m., at NHS.

Rappahannock High School After Prom Committee is hosting a Spaghetti Dinner @ Masonic Lodge

Donk’s Theater with Natalie McNeal Archibeque @ Donk's Theatre

Natalie McNeal Archibeque, granddaughter of the late Hugh and Gladys McNeal, formerly of Warsaw, will sing at Donk’s Theater in Mathews. The show begins at 8 pm. Natalie was the 2012 Talent Search winner and will sing four songs. Her grandparents would be most proud of Natalie and no doubt passed on some of their talent.

The University of Mary Washington Small Business Development Center Warsaw office will be offering a Basics of Operation workshop from 10 a.m. until noon at the RCC Kilmarnock Center. This allows students to learn about operations and acquire basic skills with vector graphics.

Joy Club meets at 10:30 a.m. @ Warsaw Baptist Church

The Joy Club meets at 10:30 a.m. at WarsawBaptist Church.  Guest speaker is Ellen Yackel who will describe services provided by The Haven. A covered-dish luncheon follows.  Call Rena Revere at 333-4294.
