Website Management workshop (1pm–4pm) at the RCC Kilmarnock Center @ RCC Kilmarnock Center

The University of Mary Washington Small Business Development Center Warsaw office will be offering a Website Management workshop (1pm–4pm) at the RCC Kilmarnock Center.  The topic helps students understand the benefits a website can bring to even the smallest business and gives them the opportunity to practice editing a real business website. Technology covered: Kompozer. Registration deadline: Jan. 21.

At 2 p.m. the Virginia Employment Commission will host- Health, Nutrition & Budgeting – Come to this workshop to learn how to keep you and your family in top performance mode!  Lorrie Maupin of the Virginia Cooperative  Extension will be the instructor.

RWC will host an educational session for caregivers of individuals with Alzheimer’s and dementia @ Rappahannock Westminister Canterbury

At 10 a.m. Rappahannock Westminster-Canterubury in Irvington will host an educational session for caregivers of individuals with Alzheimer’s and dementia. Ellie Galloway, Regional Director of the Alzheimer’s Association, and Ginger Peer, CMT, of Heart Felt Touch Massage Therapy will explain and demonstrate how touch can alleviate pain and help calm anxiety and agitation in those with Alzheimer’s.The presentation is free and open to the public. Call at 438-4000 for reservations.

A diversity of vendors, quality products, and a charming setting will be distinguishing features of the Winter Market, at Festival Halle, Main St., Reedville from 9 am – 2 pm. Most of the items for sale have been created by hand, or artistically crafted.Parking is ample near and around the building for visitors, and concessions indoors for breakfast and a light lunch. The National Association of Active and Retired Federal Employees (NARFE) Northern Neck Chapter 1823 will meet at 1:00 p.m. at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, 6807 Northumberland Hwy, Heathsville.  Frank Burke, president of Bay Trust Company, will speak on wills and estate planning.  All current or retired Federal employees (or surviving spouses) and their guests are invited.  Executive board will meet at noon.  For additional information, call 804.580.8666.
