Continuing to celebrate the Christmas Season, a single service of Holy Eucharist will be held in Cople Parish.  This service will be held at 10 a.m. at Nomini Church located on Cople Highway (Rt. 202) at the Nomini Creek Bridge.  All are welcome to join in this service.

George Washington National Birthplace hosts Twelve Drummers Drumming: The Twelfth Day of Christmas @ George Washington National Birthplace

George Washington National Birthplace hosts Twelve Drummers Drumming: The Twelfth Day of Christmas from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. The Memorial House will be decorated for the holidays. The plantation will be busy with demonstrations and activities performed by costumed interpreters. Visitors will have an opportunity to play a variety of African drums. The park will be illuminated at dusk with candles.

Service of the Epiphany Feast of Light at Hague Parish House @ Hague Parish House

A service of the Epiphany Feast of Lights will be held at the Hague Parish House of Cople Parish Episcopal Churches at 5 p.m. to hear the story of the coming of the Wise Men to visit the baby Jesus and how the Word of God spread through disciples of old and even today.  All are welcome to join in this beautiful pageant.  The celebration will be followed immediately by a covered dish supper. The Hague Parish House is located at 72 Coles Point Road (behind the Newton Public Library).

American Red Cross will sponsor the Montross Community Blood Drive @ Montross Volunteer Rescue Squad Building

The American Red Cross will sponsor the Montross Community Blood Drive from noon to 6 p.m. at the Montross Volunteer Rescue Squad Building located on Lyells Street.  Each person signing in will automatically be entered in a drawing to win a $1,000 gift card from a Home Improvement Store.  Be sure to eat a good meal, drink plenty of water, and bring a picture ID.
