American Red Cross will sponsor the Montross Community Blood Drive @ Montross Volunteer Rescue Squad Building
Jan 8 @ 12:00 pm – 6:00 pm

The American Red Cross will sponsor the Montross Community Blood Drive from noon to 6 p.m. at the Montross Volunteer Rescue Squad Building located on Lyells Street.  Each person signing in will automatically be entered in a drawing to win a $1,000 gift card from a Home Improvement Store.  Be sure to eat a good meal, drink plenty of water, and bring a picture ID.

(NARFE) Association meets @ Cobham Park Baptist Church

The Northern Neck Chapter 1823 of the National Active and Retired Federal Employees (NARFE) Association meets at 1 p.m., at Cobham Park Baptist church, 120 Islington Road, Warsaw.  Kay Hawkins will speak on Exercise for a Long Life.  Current, former and retired Federal employees, spouses and survivor annuitants are invited.  The NARFE Chapter 1823 executive board will meet at noon.  For more information, call 804.580.8666.

Offering a Basics of Finance workshop @ Univ. of Mary Washington Business Development Center Warsaw Office

The University of Mary Washington Small Business Development Center Warsaw office will be offering a Basics of Finance workshop (1pm – 4pm) at the Warsaw office.  Participants will learn about finance and understand the fundamental features of electronic spreadsheets. (Recommended for entrepreneurs with little or basic computer skills) Registration deadline: January 1.

The Northern Neck Foster Parent Program will be offering training to anyone interested in learning more about Foster Parenting. Parent Resources for Information, Development, & Education is a mandatory Pre-Service Training for all Foster &Adoptive Parents. Participants must complete all nine sessions.
