All proceeds will go to the Betty Gaskins Memorial Scholarship Fund established to help deserving Rappahannock Community College students. RWC will host an educational session for caregivers of individuals with Alzheimer’s and dementia @ Rappahannock Westminister Canterbury

At 10 a.m. Rappahannock Westminster-Canterubury in Irvington will host an educational session for caregivers of individuals with Alzheimer’s and dementia. Ellie Galloway, Regional Director of the Alzheimer’s Association, and Ginger Peer, CMT, of Heart Felt Touch Massage Therapy will explain and demonstrate how touch can alleviate pain and help calm anxiety and agitation in those with Alzheimer’s.The presentation is free and open to the public. Call at 438-4000 for reservations.

VEC will host a Resume Writing Workshop

At 2 p.m. the Virginia Employment Commission will host a Resume Writing Workshop. This workshop covers how to structure your resume, capturing key fields the employer  is looking for.  Connie Peay, Career Services Coach at Rappahannock, Community College, will be the instructor.
