Northumberland County Animal Shelter will sponsor their indoor yard sale 12-4 PM  and at the Northumberland County School Board Building and Adoption Day at the Northumberland County Animal Shelter in Horsehead between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. The shelter has an abundance of beautiful cats and dogs just waiting for you to give them a good home. Please save a life, adopt a shelter pet..

Join the Northern Neck Audubon Society on a bird walk at Belle Isle State Park led by Frank Schaff. There will be several loaner binoculars available.  Meet at the horse parking lot at 8 a.m.

Educating parents in preventing custody conflicts with Children First @ MPNNCSB Prevention Services Warsaw Counseling Center

Children First will hold a four-hour class at 9 a.m. on educating parents in preventing custody conflicts. The class will be held in the MPNNCSB Prevention Services Warsaw Counseling Center located on 414 Main St. in Warsaw, VA  22572.

At 4 p.m., the third annual Black History Month Celebration will be held at New Jerusalem Baptist Church with this year’s theme of Supporting Our National & Local Leaders. Washington & Lee High School and Hampton University graduate Edward Reed will be the event’s guest speaker. This event is in partnership with youth ministries from Siloam and New Jerusalem Baptist Churches. No charge for admission.
