“The Russells of Mila…History, County Connections and Legacy”

 Shiloh School 1906 will host a program by Pamela C. Russell, entitled, “The Russells of Mila…History, County Connections and Legacy,” April 21 at 3:00 PM sponsored by Northumberland Preservation, Inc.  The public is invited.  Seating in the one-room schoolhouse is limited. Dress for the weather; Shiloh School has neither heat nor cooling.  The program will recess by 5:00 PM. Directions:  From Route 200, north of Kilmarnock, turn onto Shiloh School Road, and go to the end of that road.

The Friends of the Lancaster Community Library will hold their annual “Giant Book Sale” April 25-27 in the Library meeting room at 235 School Street in Kilmarnock.  The sale is open to the public.  Hours are Thursday and Friday 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM and Saturday 9:00 AM -12:00 Noon.  Cash and checks are accepted.  For more information, call the Library at 804-435-1729.
