Farmers Market and Wine Fest

Farmers Market and Wine Fest is Sat., April 20th at Rice’s Hotel / Hughlett’s Tavern in Heathsville The Farmers Market runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Wine Fest goes from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The entrance fee is $12 per person, which includes a commemorative wine glass. Annual Tidal Spring Clean-up on Sat., Apr. 20th from 9am to 1pm. Volunteers will initially meet at the Tidal Office at June Parker Marina in Tappahannock. Walk MS will take place in Kilmarnock, Virginia

 Walk MS will take place in Kilmarnock, Virginia on Saturday, April 20th. Registration opens at 9:00 AM and the walk starts at 10:00 AM. The event kicks off at the Grace Episcopal Church on 303 S. Main Street in Kilmarnock.  Interested parties can register and raise funds for Walk MS: Kilmarnock has an individual, team, or virtual walker on IWalkForMS.org or contact Clare Lorio at 804-591-3037 or clare.lorio@nmss.org.

The Northern Neck Chapter of the Virginia Native Plant Society’s annual “Spring Ephemerals” walk will take place at Hickory Hollow Natural Area Preserve in Lancaster County, Saturday April 20 •10: a.m. until noon. Master Naturalist Ellis Squires will also speak briefly about orchids.  Meet about 0.3 miles north of Rt. 3 on on Regina Rd. (Rt. 604). If “weather permitting” information is needed, call Boundy at 804 436-4944 before 9:00 a.m. on August 20th. Bring water, a camera or binoculars if desired.
