Friends of the Rappahannock Annual Tidal Spring Clean-up

Friends  of the Rappahannock is having it’s Annual Tidal Spring Clean-up on Saturday, April 20th from 9am to 1pm. Volunteers will initially meet at the Tidal Office at June Parker Marina in Tappahannock. If you are interested in participating in the event, please contact Lowery Pemberton at 804.443.3448

Friends Super Raffle Returns

Friends of the Northumberland Library Super Raffle returns.  Tickets go on sale at the Tavern Farmers Market, Saturday, April 20, in Heathsville from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.  Tickets:  $1 each or six for $5.

Walk MS will take place in Kilmarnock, Virginia

 Walk MS will take place in Kilmarnock, Virginia on Saturday, April 20th. Registration opens at 9:00 AM and the walk starts at 10:00 AM. The event kicks off at the Grace Episcopal Church on 303 S. Main Street in Kilmarnock.  Interested parties can register and raise funds for Walk MS: Kilmarnock has an individual, team, or virtual walker on IWalkForMS.org or contact Clare Lorio at 804-591-3037 or clare.lorio@nmss.org.

Northern Neck Chapter of the Virginia Native Plant Society’s annual “Spring Ephemerals” walk

The Northern Neck Chapter of the Virginia Native Plant Society’s annual “Spring Ephemerals” walk will take place at Hickory Hollow Natural Area Preserve in Lancaster County, Saturday April 20 •10: a.m. until noon. Master Naturalist Ellis Squires will also speak briefly about orchids.  Meet about 0.3 miles north of Rt. 3 on on Regina Rd. (Rt. 604). If “weather permitting” information is needed, call Boundy at 804 436-4944 before 9:00 a.m. on August 20th. Bring water, a camera or binoculars if desired.

Workshop for shoreline property owners

“The Russells of Mila…History, County Connections and Legacy”

 Shiloh School 1906 will host a program by Pamela C. Russell, entitled, “The Russells of Mila…History, County Connections and Legacy,” April 21 at 3:00 PM sponsored by Northumberland Preservation, Inc.  The public is invited.  Seating in the one-room schoolhouse is limited. Dress for the weather; Shiloh School has neither heat nor cooling.  The program will recess by 5:00 PM. Directions:  From Route 200, north of Kilmarnock, turn onto Shiloh School Road, and go to the end of that road.

“Voyage of Unity and Fellowship” with Beulah Baptist Church
