Northumberland County Red Cross Blood Drive

The Northumberland County Red Cross will be holding its Blood Drive on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at St. Stephens Episcopal Church in Heathsville from 12 noon until 6:00 pm.  Please plan to come and help give the “gift of love” to others.

William & Mary’s Lower Northern Neck Chapter invites alumni and friends to jump-start the holidays at the Annual Holiday Party on Thursday, Dec. 5 from 5:30 to 8pm at Rappahannock Westminster-Canterbury, 132 Lancaster Drive, Irvington, VA. Enjoy a lavish selection of hors d’oeuvres and desserts, plus a cash bar. $27 for dues-payers, $32 others. The Northumberland County Historical Society will offer its annual Christmas program and meeting on Sunday, December 8, 2013 at 2:30 p.m.  Our holiday celebration will begin with the  first Christmas Story, read by Ms. Jade Traylor. St. Margaret’s school Christmas Celebration proceeds to benefit local Food Bank

Hot and cold Holiday foods, drinks, live music and colonial stories, choir from St. Margaret’s school, craft making and cookie decorating for children, “theme” decorated Christmas trees. Local artist, Bruce McComb will be displaying and speaking about his Civil War paintings. Come join in the festivities! Adults $15.00, kids FREE.      PROCEEDS TO BENEFIT THE LOCAL FOOD BANK.
