A minimum of 5 acres for agriculure and/or minimum of 20 acres for forestry land, excluding the 1 acre home site; if applicable, with a history of farming or growing timber for at least 5 years.
A spearate application shall be filed for each parcel of land shown on the land book.
Applications not accepted when taxes are delinquent.
Application fee is $20.00 for each parcel of land.
Applications must be submitted by November 2nd 2015 for the 2016 tax year.
(Revalidation applications for those landowner’s already in the Land Use program has been mailed if they are due for renewal.)

The Town of Warsaw is soliciting bids from qualified contractors for the construction of an open sided pavilion at the Warsaw Town Park located at 171 Main Street, Warsaw, Virginia.
The Town of Warsaw reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive irregularities and technicalities, and to request re-bids. Withdrawal of bids due to error shall be according to Section 2.2-4330.B.2 of the Virginia Public Procurement Act.
Any individual bid that exceeds $100,000 is required to be accompanied by a 5% Bid Bond. A 100% Payment and Performance Bond shall be provided by the successful bidder.
No contract will be awarded until qualification forms have been received and references have been checked and verified by the Town of Warsaw.
Local, minority-owned, and female-owned firms are encouraged to respond.
Attached, as part of this Bid Package, are specifications and plans prepared by Engineering Design Associates, Inc.
Two (2) copies of each bid* shall be delivered to the office of the Warsaw Town Manager by 2:00 p.m., November 10, 2015.
* All bids shall be submitted on the contractor’s letterhead and in the attached format (no exceptions).
All bids received past the deadline will be returned unopened.

Elevation & Construction of New Foundation for One Home
The Northern Neck Planning District Commission is soliciting bids from qualified contractors to elevate one single-family home and construct a new engineered foundation for it, in Northumberland County.
These improvements are funded in part through a grant from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Virginia Department of Emergency Management (VDEM).
The Bid Package is available for download at (menu link “RFPs/Bids”). Local, minority-owned, and female-owned firms are encouraged to respond.
There will be a mandatory pre-bid meeting at the property, at 10 a.m. on October 21, 2015.
The deadline for submitting bids is November 10, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. EST.

All interested parties will be afforded the opportunity to be heard and are requested to submit a concise written statement and/or attend the Public Hearing to offer oral comments. The aforementioned application is on file in the office of the Land Use Administrator.
