Tappahannock Essex Volunteer Fire Department to hold fund-raising golf tournament

On Saturday May 18, The Tappahannock Essex Volunteer Fire Department (TEVFD) will hold their annual fund-raising Golf Tournament at Hobbs Hole Golf Course, 1267 Hobbs Hole Drive in Tappahannock. In the past there have been as many as 35 four-person teams playing. This four-person captain’s choice tournament will tee off at 1:00 p.m. after a great lunch starting at 12:00 noon.     The “Big Croaker” winners of 2012 took home $4,000 in prizes. At the final weigh-in at June Parker Marina, contestants anxiously awaits the arrival of the big croaker entries from Dock Street ramp and from Garrett’s Marina locations and watch the results being tabulated on the leader board.

    Tappahannock Rotary Club announces the 10th Annual Andrew Reavis Memorial Croaker Fishing Tournament and invites the public to compete in this highly successful fun day out on the river for family and friends.
