Over 70 donors attend Northumberland Red Cross Blood Drive

  • Essex County Airport Authority looking to rezone property for potential dry fertilizer mixing business

    The Essex County Airport Authority is seeking to rezone 24 acres of airport property outside Tappahannock from agriculture to light industry. Barry Bates of the Airport Authority said one business has showed interest in establishing a dry fertilizer blending facility at the site in question.       As many have noticed over the past few months, Aylett’s Old Red Store closed after 40 years.       Riverside Tappahannock Hospital (RTH), was one of only 4 small rural community hospitals to receive a perfect score on Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield’s Q-HIP measures.
