The Richmond County School Board is requesting sealed bids for heating oil, propane, unleaded gasoline, and diesel fuel for the school year July 1, 2015 through June 30, 2016. Bid specifications can be obtained by contacting Susan H. Johns, Director of Finance at 804-333-3682. Bids will be opened on June 9, 2015. The Richmond County School Board does not discriminate on any basis and encourages responses from all qualified bidders.
Submission Period
The Town of Warsaw announces the opening of its Business Improvement Grant (BIG) submission period. Grant applications are available at the town office and will be received through Monday, June 1, 2015.
Grants are made for store front enhancement and beautification. General maintenance purposes are not eligible. Beautification and aesthetic appeal shall be primary purpose. Grants are matching up to $1,000.00.

Burke, 14500 Standing Oak Ct., Midlothian, VA 23112, has applied for permission to install an off-shore biogenic breakwater reef structures with associated beach nourishment and wetlands vegetation plantings along their Lancaster Creek shoreline, located at 3043 Simonson Road and further identified as Tax Map 43A1 Parcel 18. • Richard A. Farmar et. al., P.O. Box 1181, Warsaw, VA 22572, has applied for permission to install multiple low-profile timber groins with “T”-spurs along their Rappahannock River shoreline, located at 2240 Suggetts Point Road and further identified as Tax Map 35-38A, 35-38C & 35-38D. • Anne H. Warner, P.O. 1162, Warsaw, VA 23838, has applied for permission to construct a nearshore rip-rap sill with associated beach nourishment and wetland vegetation plantings and a new low-profile rip-rap groin along her Rappahannock River shoreline, located at Accakeek Road, and further identified as Tax Map 29 Parcel 16. VMRC 15-0600.
All interested parties will be afforded the opportunity to be heard and are requested to submit a concise written statement and/or attend the Public Hearing to offer oral comments. The aforementioned application is on file in the office of the Land Use Administrator.
The Richmond County School Board Selection Commission hereby gives notice of a public hearing to be held at the School Board Office, 92 Walnut Street, Warsaw, Virginia on Thursday, May 28, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. to hear the views on the appointment of a School Board member to serve from District Three. This appointment shall be for a period of four years – July 1, 2015 – June 30, 2019.
The Richmond County School Board Selection Commission will meet at the School Board Office on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. to appoint this member.
