REQUEST FOR BID
The Richmond County School Board invites bids for lawn cutting, spraying, and mulching for Richmond County Schools, Warsaw, Virginia for a two-year period from mid-March through October beginning March 16, 2015.
Anyone interested in submitting a bid should contact Susan Johns, Director of Finance, at 804-333-3682. Bids will be opened on Tuesday, March 10, 2015. The Richmond County School Board does not discriminate on any basis and encourages responses from all qualified bidders.
PUBLIC NOTICE – BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
In accordance with §15.2-2204 of the Code of Virginia, 1950 as amended and pursuant to §15.2-2310 of the Code of Virginia, 1950 as amended, the Richmond County Board of Supervisors hereby gives notice that a Public Hearing will start at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, March 12, 2015, in the Board Meeting Room, County Office Building, Warsaw, Virginia.
1. Shandy Hall LLC, 1082 Shandy Hall Road, Warsaw, Virginia 22572, has requested a Special Exception as allowed for under Zoning Ordinance section 3-13-7 “Expansion or Enlargement of Existing Nonconforming Uses” in order to increase the length of an existing pier appendage located alongside a legal nonconforming structure (boathouse). The parcel in question is zoned A-1 (Agricultural) and is further identified as tax map 35-24.

In accordance with §15.2-2204 of the Code of Virginia, 1950 as amended and pursuant to §15.2-2310 of the Code of Virginia, 1950 as amended, the Richmond County Planning Commission hereby gives notice that a Public Hearing will start at 7:00 P.M., March 9, 2015, in the Public Meeting Room, County Office Building, Warsaw, Virginia for the following:
• To receive public comment on the proposed amendment to the Richmond County Floodplain Ordinance. The updated language is provided by the Federal Emergency Management Act and provides slight changes to definitions, designation of a floodplain administrator, new flood zone designations, etc. Proposed language may be viewed in person at the Richmond County Administrator’s office at 101 Court Circle, Warsaw, Virginia 22572 between 9:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M.
• Shelley B. Pierson, applicant, 530 Suggetts Point Road, Warsaw, Virginia 22572, has requested Special Exception approval in order to operate a retail gift/apparel/embroidery shop in an existing structure, located at 8039 History Land Highway. The property owner is Richard E. & Cynthia B. Thomas and the parcel is further identified as tax map 31-69. The property is currently zoned Agricultural, General (A-1).

Joint Hearing of Warsaw Town Council and Warsaw Planning Commission
The Warsaw Planning Commission and the Warsaw Town Council will hold a joint public hearing Thursday, March 12, 2015 at 7:00 P.M. in the Robert W. Lowery Municipal Building located at 78 Belle Ville Lane, Warsaw for the following purposes:
• Consider the Conditional Use Permit request of Regina Baylor to open an Antique/Boutique store at 190 Main Street in Warsaw.
A copy of the proposal is available for view at the town office and questions may be directed to the town office between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday at (804) 333-3737. All interested parties will be heard at the hearing or written statements may be sent to Town of Warsaw, P.O. Box 730, Warsaw, VA 22572 and will be presented at the hearing.
