NOTICE OF INTENT TO ABANDON PUBLIC ROAD
Please take notice that pursuant to §33.2-902, Code of Virginia, 1950, on Monday, November 10, 2014 at 6:45 p.m., in the former General District Courtroom of the George D. English, Sr. Memorial Building, 111 Polk Street, Montross, VA 22520, there will be held a public hearing for citizen comment on a request to abandon a segment of primary route 205Y (Colonial Avenue) in Colonial Beach, Virginia. This public hearing will be held to allow question and comment on said abandonment request.
It appears that a segment of Route 205Y described as “the 0.02 mile segment at its terminus”, currently serves no public necessity and is no longer necessary as a part of the primary system of state highways.
The abandonment package is available for review Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. at the Virginia Department of Transportation, Northern Neck Residency located at 734 Barnfield Road, Warsaw, VA 22572
