Rappahannock Raiders varsity football team defeats Middlesex Chargers

The Varsity Raiders football team was on the road Friday, September 12 to play the Middlesex Chargers. The Raiders ran up 252 yards of total offense with 221 coming on the ground.     Malik Martin rolls in for his second touchdown of the night as Essex, defeated King William, 35-0, Friday night in Central Garage.

    On Friday night, Essex Coach John Fulks came off the field praising his team’s efforts in a hard-fought contest.  “We were able to finish a game tonight,” he said.   • Northern Neck Rivermen hold off Big Red

    The offensive line paved the way for another victory.

    The Northern Neck Rivermen was on the road Saturday, Sept. 13 versus the Arbutus Big Red. With a win the Rivermen would clinch the North Division and host the first round of the playoffs. The Rivermen hit the ground running with a 2 yard touchdown run by Daniel Barnes in the first quarter. In the second quarter, quarterback Walt Covington connected with Tim Short for a 75 yard touchdown pass.
