Rappahannock rebounds with win over Cavaliers

After a frustrating week in which the team endured a rainout against West Point and a frustrating loss to Lancaster, the Rappahannock Varsity Baseball team rebounded with a 4-3 spring break win over King William to bring the team’s record to 6 wins and 1 losses. Following the West Point rainout, the team road into Lancaster with high expectations. “We were not ready to play,” stated head coach Larry Barker.

    The Varsity Lady Raiders softball team played a make-up game against the King William Lady Cavaliers on Thursday April 17. These teams have outstanding pitchers backed-up by stingy defenses. Hallie Berger was in the circle for the home team; she has a range of pitches with an overpowering fastball that accounted for nine strikeouts.     The Rappahannock Raiders boys’ tennis team was matched against the New Kent Trojans on Tuesday April 8. The top six players on the Raiders played the top six on the Trojans; one versus one in single matches and so on.
