Northern Neck Rivermen defeat Stags, improve to 3-0

The  Northern  Neck Rivermen traveled to Cumberland, Md to face the Western Maryland Stags in their third game of the semi-pro football Mason Dixon Football League season. The long ride that began in Fredericksburg with stops in King George and Waldorf, Md gave the coaching staff more time to work on their game plan.     The District 15 Big League All-Stars Team

    On July 5, 12 members of the District 15 Big League team traveled to Norton, VA to participate in the state tournament held at Union High School in Big Stone Gap.  This was after the team had completed a grueling 12 game schedule in 24 days, traveling to Richmond and Dumfries in order to qualify for state competition.  The team is composed of players, ages 16 -18, from Essex, Northumberland,

    Northern Neck Rivermen’s Adeola Ogunwenmo busts up the middle to score one of his two touchdowns.

    In their second game of the season, the Northern Neck Rivermen was pushed to the last seconds against the Virginia Titans.
