The Rappahannock Raiders boys’ tennis team was matched against the New Kent Trojans on Tuesday April 8. The top six players on the Raiders played the top six on the Trojans; one versus one in single matches and so on.   • Rappahannock Raiders varsity baseball team off to fast start

    The Rappahannock Raiders Varsity Baseball team ran their record to 5-0 after the first two weeks of the season with two wins over Mathews and a win apiece over Middlesex, King William, and West Point. “We have many things to improve,” said head coach Larry Barker, “but I like what I see. This team has enormous potential.” The Raiders started the season by taking a doubleheader from Mathews at Mathews.

    Hallie Berger, above, starting pitcher for the Rappahannock Girl’s Varsity team, was strong as the in this week’s double-header win against Matthews.

    The Rappahannock Raiders baseball and softball teams came off the diamond as winners last week after a double header against their opposing team from Matthews. On March 27, the Raiders boys took the day 3-0 and 4-0, with the girl’s team winning 7-3 and 5-4 on a cold, windy evening.
