J. Kenneth Brunson

J. Kenneth Brunson of Montross passed away unexpectedly at his home Monday, March 4, 2013.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy; two daughters, Karen Leigh Richards (Greg) and Debra Ann Palu (Craig); seven grandchildren, Christine Glockzin. Elizabeth Jane Westbrook, Dustin Richards and Kody Richards; step grandchildren, Rachel Blakely, Michaela Palu, and Megan Palu; and three sisters, Linda Krisman, Pamela Dennis and Debra Nuckles.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 16 at 11 a.m. at the Welch Funeral Home, Montross. Reception to follow at the Glebe Harbor/Cabin Point Clubhouse, 751 Glebe Harbor Drive, Montross.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his name to the Methodist Children’s Home, 1111 Herring Ave, Waco, Texas 76708.

Carrington Wayne Middleton

Carrington Wayne Middleton, 72, of Mundy Point, passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2013. He was the son of late Carrington Eugene Middleton and the late Eloise Hale Middleton, a retired building contractor, a retiree of the U.S. National Park Service, an Army veteran, and a member of Gibeon Baptist Church.

Survivors are his wife of 43 years, Julia Courtney Middleton; his daughter, Courtney M. Jackson; his son-in-law, Stephen R. Jackson; his granddaughter, Anne Courtney Jackson, all of Suffolk; his aunt,  Alda Jane Hughes of Village; and his brothers-in-law  and sisters-in-law, Mr. & Mrs. William C. Lankford of Atlanta, GA and Mr. & Mrs. Lewis Courtney of Mundy Point.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at Gibeon Baptist Church, Village. The family will receive friends from noon until service time at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tappahannock Riverside Hospice, 618 Hospital Rd, Tappahannock, VA 22560, Gibeon Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, in care of Bobby Sanford, P.O. 139 Lottsburg, VA 22511, or Callao Volunteer Rescue Squad, P.O. 82, Callao, VA 22435.
