Granny’s Attic grateful for all the support

Members of the Granny’s Attic board recently held their last meeting before closing their doors.

Welcome to our final volunteer’s notice from Granny’s Attic.

Granny’s Attic opened 25 years ago by Family Development. On January 1, 2005 we changed the operation to volunteers with profits going to local charities. Since then we have given almost $40,000 to charities, plus clothes and household items to those in need.

At our final board meeting on Jan. 21 we voted to give $500 to each of the following: Family Development, YMCA, Richmond County Ministerial Assoc., Habitat for Humanity, Salvation Army, Richmond County Museum, Community Food Bank at Warsaw UMC, and Hospice. After all other expenses are met, the final balance will be donated to the Community Food Bank at Warsaw UMC, since that is a big need at this time.

We cherish the friendships that have grown through working with each of you. Many thanks for years of service and may your life be spiritually enriched by the sharing of your time and talents to this mission program.

In Christian love,

Granny’s Attic Board
