Alyson Pugh graduates VCU Cum Laude
Alyson Packett Pugh of Warsaw, graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University on December 8th, 2012, with a degree in Humanities & Sciences. Her major was Mass Communications with a concentration in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in General Business.
During her studies at VCU, Alyson wrote, produced, directed and filmed the amateur documentary Dead Waters which featured the plight of the blue crab in the Rappahannock River. Alyson also worked as an intern at WRIC ABC Channel 8 in Richmond. She was featured in a number of advertisements for Sheltering Arms Rehabilitation Center as well as a documentary, The Power To Overcome, Real People, Real Stories.
Alyson is a transfer student from the University of Alabama where she was Vice President of the Alpha Phi Fraternity and also served on the Student Executive Counsel and was Ambassador of the School of Mass Communication.
Alyson plans to pursue her Masters Degree in Public Relations from VCU. She is the daughter of Al and Pat Pugh of Warsaw and the granddaughter of Gay Packett and the late Ralph Packett of Warsaw and the late Addie and Wesley Pugh of Lancaster.
