Lois H. Doleman

Lois H. Doleman, 84, of Montross, widow of James Henry Doleman, passed away on Nov. 29, 2012. She was postmaster of Zacata Post Office for 34 years, a member of National Association of Postmasters, USA, Chantilly Chapter DAR and a member of Currioman Baptist Church where she served as financial secretary, and for 70 years as organist.

She was the daughter of the late Murray T. and Ellie C. Scrimger Henderson.

She is survived by daughters, Sharon D. Stuart and husband Charles E. Stuart III of Montross, LoisLynn Hazelwood and husband Ernest L. Hazelwood Jr. of Midlothian, and Susan D. Halley and husband, Lawrence C. Halley Jr. of Richmond, and grandchildren, Christian James Halley of New Orleans, La. and Lauren Grant Halley of Richmond, Va.

Mrs. Doleman was preceded in death by her sisters, Earlene Henderson and Mildred H. Pitts and grandson, Charles Edward Stuart, IV.

Funeral services were held on Monday, Dec. 3 at Currioman Baptist Church. Reverend Curtis Hawks, Reverend Dr. Ralph Gardiner, Pastor Wade Wilkins and Reverend David McEntire officiated. Interment followed in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were William M. Pitts, Stephen B. Pitts, Robert Jones, Eric Oliver, James Henderson and Wallace McGinness. The Deacons of the church were honorary pallbearers.

James “Jimmy” Mitchel Douglas

James “Jimmy” Mitchel Douglas, 25, of Farnham, Virginia, passed away on Sunday, November 25, 2012. He was a delivery driver for Ferguson Enterprises Inc., Tappahannock, Virginia, and a member at Oakland United Methodist Church, Farnham, Virginia.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Otis Judson Douglas and Elizabeth “Liz” C. Douglas.

He is survived by his fiancé, Kristina F. Courtney; his son, Mason M. Douglas; He is also survived by his mother, Angela T. Douglas, and her fiancé, Thomas J. Booth, of Heathsville; his father, Harry Mitchel Douglas, of Farnham; maternal grandmother, Janet H. Lewis, of Maine; maternal grandfather, Cadamus L. Treakle and his wife, Janet, of Kilmarnock, VA; two sisters, Michelle Lynn Hendershot and her husband Dustin, of Heathsville, VA, and Katherine I. Douglas of Farnham, VA; one brother, Joseph L. Douglas of Heathsville, VA; five aunts, Kimberly A Douglas, Elizabeth Charlotte Lewis, Virginia L. Bryant, Katherine D. Gallagher, and Charlene Rennee Treakle; two uncles, John T. Lewis, and Otis J. Douglas Jr.; one great aunt, Sandra Walker, and her husband, Leo, of Michigan; two great uncles, James W. Douglas, and William “Billy” C. Treakle; his fiance’s mother, Tina M. Huston;  and numerous cousins.

The family rceivedfriends on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at Jones-Ash Funeral Home, Heathsville, Virginia, from 6-8:00 p.m. A funeral service was held at Oakland United Methodist Church, Farnham, Virginia, on Thursday, November 29, 2012 at 11 a.m. Interment was at Oakland United Methodist Church Cemetery, Farnham, VA.

William B. Johnson

William B. Johnson of Warsaw was called home to his eternal resting place on Nov. 26, 2012 at VCU Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.

William was born on July 19, 1960 to the late John Willie Johnson and Irene Johnson. He was the oldest of nine children. William entered the United States Army on Sept. 19, 1979 and was honorably discharged on May 12, 1982. William was employed by Burt Construction Company, Chantilly, Va. In 1992 William met the love of his life, Ronnie and one year later they were united as one. They remained inseparable. William loved the Lord and accepted Christ as his personal Savior and joined New Liberty Baptist Church, Beasley, Va, and later attended Zion Baptist Church, Kinsale. William was patient and kind, always willing to do whatever he could to help someone, especially the elderly. His favorite pastime was playing with his nieces and nephews, swimming and watching his favorite football team, the Green Bay Packers. William lived a simple life and was content with it.

He leaves to cherish many wonderful memories: His loving wife, Ronnie; his devoted mother, Irene Johnson; five sisters, Shirley (Michael Sr.) Pollard, Theresa Braxton, Elsie Dabney, Colyn Jackson, and Cora Jones; three brothers, Sherman Johnson, John (Angela) Johnson, Curtis (Paulette) Johnson; mother-in-law, Jannie Thornton; brothers-in-law, Lewis (Merteen) Thornton Jr., Ovel Thornton, Minister Haywood (Regina) Thornton and Reverend Olden (Bertha) Thornton; aunt, Dorothy (Susie) Tate; uncles, William, Charles, Theodore, Howard, and Jimmy Thompson, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his father, John Willie Johnson; uncle, Garfield Johnson Sr.; father-in-law, Lewis Thornton Sr., and sister-in-law, Brenda T. Thomas.

Funeral services were held on Dec. 1 at Jerusalem Baptist Church. Pastor Darryl E. Fisher officiated. Pastor Olden Thornton, Eulogist. Interment followed in the church cemetery Pallbearers were Michael Pollard Jr., Jerry Bundy Jr., Christopher Bundy, Donald Bundy, Danzel Gaines, Bryan Roane, Jerrid Roane, Travis Johnson, Jamaar Johnson and Antoine Newton.

 Clara Ann Clark Morgan

Clara Ann Clark Morgan, 53, of Montross, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012. She was a floral designer at Bridgett’s Bouquets in Montross.

She is survived by her husband, Charles N. Morgan; daughter, Sarah Pate (Matthew); son, Glenn N. Morgan; mother, Clara R. Clark, and two grandchildren, Ryder Matthew Pate and Brooklyn Leigh Pate, all of Montross.

Funeral services were held on Sunday, Dec. 2 at Wellch Funeral Home, Montross Chapel with Pastor Wade Wilkins officiating. Interment was in Providence United Methodist Cemetery, Chiltons, Va.

Ruth Adella Enos Robbins

Ruth Adella Enos Robbins, 95, of Mt. Holly, VA, died November 29, 2012 at Mary Washington Healthcare, Fredericksburg, VA. She was born on June 8, 1917, in Starkey, N.Y., daughter of the late Frank W. Enos and Lilian M. Carey Enos. She was a member of the Carmel United Methodist Church in Hague, Virginia.

She had a strong love for animals, especially her dog, Silver, and her bird, Morgan.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her four sisters, four brothers, husband, George W. Robbins, Jr., and son George W. Robbins III. Surviving are several nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions may be made in Ruth’s name, to Warsaw Animal Clinic, P.O. Box 398, Warsaw, VA, 22572.
