On Sept. 9, the children and youth of Warsaw United Methodist Church saw their hard work pay off. In fact, they saw it over 880 times!
The kids lined up all the quarters they had collected over the summer as a fundraiser for Operation Inasmuch. As a summer project, they enacted Quarter Sunday. Each Sunday, they would add their quarters to the jar. It wasn’t until Aug. 30 that they let the adults in on their project.
It all came to fruition on our Sunday School kickoff Sunday. After our worship service, there was a congregation luncheon and a lot of quarters. The kids went to work and after all the quarters were lined up and they reached from our front door down the sidewalk to the road and halfway again. Our children and youth collected over $220 for Operation Inasmuch, which took place on Sept. 29. All of us at Warsaw United Methodist Church are proud of the generosity demonstrated by our children and youth for this worthwhile mission.
