The Varsity Lady Raiders softball team played a make-up game against the King William Lady Cavaliers on Thursday April 17. These teams have outstanding pitchers backed-up by stingy defenses. Hallie Berger was in the circle for the home team; she has a range of pitches with an overpowering fastball that accounted for nine strikeouts. The Lady Raiders jumped out to a one run lead in the first inning, and held it until the fourth. The visitors scored two in the top of the fourth to take a 2-1 lead. The Lady Raiders continued to create opportunities by getting runners in scoring position in the fourth, fifth, and sixth inning. The final score visitors 2-1.
