Council gives nod to 3 percent raise for town employees
The Warsaw Town Council agreed to keep a 3 percent raise for employees in their draft of the budget during their Monday work session.
As it stands, the general fund of the town budget proposes an increase in $10,000 of the salaries line item for fiscal year (FY) 2015.
The 3 percent increase does not include the town’s two police officers, as the budget as of now consists of provisions to bring the officers’ salaries up to the level of surrounding counties. The proposed line item for the Warsaw Police Department’s salaries in the FY 2015 budget consists of a $27,000 increase from $141,000 in FY 2014 to $168,000.
