The Rappahannock Raiders baseball and softball teams came off the diamond as winners last week after a double header against their opposing team from Matthews.
On March 27, the Raiders boys took the day 3-0 and 4-0, with the girl’s team winning 7-3 and 5-4 on a cold, windy evening.
For the girls, in a knuckle-biter, Courtney Berhalter brought in the much needed final run in the second game during the last inning with two outs and a bat ready to let loose.
“We have such a strong system with very experienced coaches, players and such talent that I think we are going to have a great season,” said Athletic Director Jason Strong.
