On a sunny Thursday the tennis season kicked off for the Rappahannock High School boys’ team as they hosted George Mason High School.
Playing for Rappahannock were Bradley Hedges, Evan France, Paul France, Jacob Goszka, Landon Rock and Riley Knight. Visiting from George Mason were Jacob Morris, Nate Jones, Thomas Morris, Jacob Field, Thomas Beddow and David Drawbaugh. Coaches for the Raiders team were David holt, Jackie Morris and Corbin Franklin. Coaches for George Mason were Matt Sowers and Will Snyder
In Singles, Jacob Morris defeated Hedges 8-0, Evan France lost to Jones 8-0, Thomas Morris defeated Paul France 8-3, Field defeated Goszka 8-0. Rock lost to Thomas Beddow 8-1 and Drawbaugh defeated Knight 8-1.
In Doubles, Jacob Morris and Jones defeated Hedges and Paul France 8-0, Thomas Morris and Field defeated Evan France and Goszka 8-1 and Beddow and Drawbaugh defeated Rock and Knight 8-0.
