Lancaster’s Tyrell Henderson goes up for the dunk at the River Rivalry Holiday Tournament.

The Lancaster County boys’ varsity basketball team ended the River Rivalry Holiday Tournament on a high note for their fans when they dominated the visiting Middlesex Chargers  60-40.
It was a commanding performance for the Red Devils as they recorded their third victory this season in their continued attempt to overcome their five losses on the year.
Beyond the first quarter, the matchup was never close as the Lancaster boys led Middlesex by double-digits at the end of the half and also during the two periods that followed. Middlesex was unable to outscore Lancaster in any of the four individual quarters of play.
“We played well as we have in the first eight games to improve to 3 – 5,” said head coach Tim Rice. “We rebounded extremely well.”
