 John Samuel Dameron

John Samuel Dameron, 94, of Fredericksburg died Monday, December 9, 2013 at home.
Mr. Dameron was a WWII Army Veteran. He was a member of Chancellor Baptist Church. Mr. Dameron was a former member of Congress Heights Baptist Church in Washington, DC and a former member, Treasurer and Deacon Emeritus at Temple Hills Baptist Church in Temple Hills, MD.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Dorothy L. Dameron; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rufus and Virginia Dameron; two brothers, Raymond E. Dameron and the Rev. Joseph M. Dameron; and a brother-in-law, Douglas W. Lewis.
A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Thursday, December 12 at Chancellor Baptist Church. Interment was held at 2 p.m. Friday, December 13 at Gibeon Baptist Church Cemetery in Village, VA.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Gibeon Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 1443 Gibeon Rd., Callao, VA 22435, or to Chancellor Baptist Church, 11324 Gordon Rd., Fredericksburg, VA 22407.

Mrs. Julia Marlow Wilkins Jones

Mrs. Julia Marlow Wilkins Jones, 94, of Rainswood and Farnham Manor, passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2013. She was the widow of Allen C. Jones and the daughter of Otis and Macie Wilkins of Village. She was a member of Coan Baptist Church, Heathsville.
Survivors are her daughter, Jerlene Gryder (Norris); son, Steve Jones (Roberta); five grandchildren, Kenny (Divina) Gryder, Beth Gryder, Todd (Melinda) Jones, Meghan (Edward) Bowis and Kyle Jones; two great-grandsons, Crew and Ty Jones; two great-granddaughters, Headley and Courtlyn Bowis; a brother-in-law, Hilbert Jones and sisters-in-law, Nancy Jones and Mary Wilkins.
Funeral services were held Friday, December 20, 2013 at Welch Funeral Home, Marks Chapel with interment in Coan Baptist Church Cemetery. Reverend Lee Farmer and Reverend Kori Kiss officiated. Pallbearers were Kenny Gryder, Norris Gryder, Todd Jones, Kyle Jones, Delacey Dodson, and Edward Bowis.  Memorial contributions may be made to Youth at Coan Baptist Church, 2068 Coan Stage Road, Heathsville, VA 22473.
