Farnham man arrested for rash of breaking and entering incidents in Westmoreland County

An arrest was made in connection to a string of breaking and entering incidents that had been committed over the last two months in Westmoreland communities, the Westmoreland County Sheriff’s Office reported Thursday.

According to information from Sheriff C.O. Balderson, Desmond L. Lee, 20, of Farnham, was arrested Wednesday, July 31 without incident on nine charges of breaking and entering, five charges of grand larceny and one charge of petty larceny.

Lee received no bond and is currently incarcerated in Northern Neck Regional Jail. He will make his first court appearance next Tuesday, Aug. 6, in Westmoreland General District Court at 9 a.m.

The nine incidents for which Lee was arrested were reported between June 1 and July 16. Six of the incidents occurred in the Glebe Harbor/Cabin Point community, two took place in the 3,000 block of Skipjack Road in Kinsale and one occurred in the 1,500 block of Mount Holly Road in Mount Holly.

The investigation is ongoing with more arrests and charges forthcoming, Balderson said.
