The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office is pleased with the community support it has received for it’s newly formed K-9 program.  The Richmond County Rotary Club, the Richmond County Ruritan Club, Tractor Supply Inc., Precision Glass, Innovative Images, Solar Eclipse, Lowe’s and the Virginia Department of Corrections have contributed to make this program possible. Lowe’s generously donated a kennel for the bloodhound.
The program has already shown successes with narcotics as well as assisting other jurisdictions with searching for missing children and elderly persons.
The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank everyone for their help.
