William “Bill” Crown
William “Bill” Crown, 70, of Fredericksburg passed away Thursday, July 11, 2013. He was a mechanic at Koons GMC in Fredericksburg and a U. S. Army veteran. He is survived by long time friend and companion, Sandra Fenwick and daughter, Ambrosia Lynn. He leaves behind a son, Michael Allen Crown of California; niece, Carolyn Rodenburg; nephews, Gary Raymond, Dale Raymond and John Raymond; many great nieces and nephews and two step-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 27, 2013 at Ephesus Christian Church Fellowship Hall, 364 Horners Mill Road, Foneswood. Memorial contributions may be made to the Fredericksburg SPCA.

Sandra Boswell of Ophelia passed June 10, 2013 after a prolonged hospitalization in Richmond. She leaves behind her son, Matthew Roger Boswell; her devoted and caring companion, Ray Turner; her father, Rev. Claude O. Tucker; her brother, Denis L. Tucker; her sister, Cynthia T Rust (George); various other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She joins her beloved mother, Inez Gazelle Krentz Tucker in their heavenly home prepared for them in glorious peace and joy. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Myrtle and Johnnie Krentz; Samuel and Sue Tucker; uncle, J.D. Krentz, Jr. and wife Faye and uncles, Carroll and Kinney Tucker.
Sandra was gifted as an artist, in music and as a Licensed Practical Nurse. During high school she excelled in gymnastics, demonstrating the remarkable courage and daring she later put to steady and honorable use battling life-long chronic illness. She adored visiting the family farm in Ophelia each summer growing up, returning as often as possible in her adult life, and was pleased to live in the community since shortly before her mother’s passing in February 2012.
Family and friends attended a graveside service Saturday, July 13, 2013 at Roseland Cemetery, Reedville.
The members of Sandra’s immediate family are deeply grateful for our friends many expressions of love, support, comfort and help at this difficult time. The Rev. Seonyuong Kim (Afton and Fairfields UMC’s) conducted and Currie Funeral Home arranged the graveside service.
Clara Reed Clark
Clara Reed Clark, 83, of Montross, went to be with the Lord Monday, July 8, 2013. She was a very active member of Carter Memorial Seventh Day Adventist Church where she lived by the word of God, touching the lives of all she met with her love and kindness. She served as deaconess and taught the children’s class. Clara helped found and establish the Community Center in Montross where she served as director. Her love for the community helped the needy and the poor, treating them with compassion and respect. For more than 50 years Clara was a member of the Providence United Methodist Women where she served as president for a number of years. She was also retired from Harris Department Store in Montross.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Will and Minnie Reed; her husband, William Stanley Clark and daughter, Ann Morgan.
She is survived by grandchildren, Sarah Phillips Pate and Glenn Nathan Morgan; great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Leigh Pate and Ryder Pate; and son in law, Chuck Morgan, all of Montross; her sister, Margaret Parr of Haynesville and brother, William R. Reed (Ellie) of Seaford, VA .
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 11, 2013 at Welch Funeral Home, Montross Chapel with Pastor Clinton Adams officiating. Interment was in Providence United Methodist Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Michael Belfield, Stormy Pearson, Jimmy Parr, Ray Sanford, Matthew Pate and Ted Cole.

Judy F. Lewis
Judy F. Lewis, 70, of Tidewater, passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2013. Mrs. Lewis was a retired store clerk with Frederick Northup and a member of Farnham Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Lawrence Lewis; two sons, Michael W. Lewis (Janine) and David A. Lewis (Barbie); three grandsons, Stephen Kaleb Lewis, Nathaniel Ian Lewis and Samuel Ethan Lewis; and one sister, Patsy Ann Lassiter Davis. Mrs. Lewis was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore C. and Bessie E. Jones Lassiter; brother, Richard T. Lassiter and two sisters, Sally L. Fitzgerald and Margaret L. Doxey.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, July 12, 2013 at Farnham Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. The Reverend Rodney Morrison officiated. Pallbearers were Dewey Schools, Danny Marks, Danny Marks Jr., Earl W. Lewis Jr., Wade Dunaway, Ronald Dunaway, Tom Jr., and Jay Garner.
