Students each receive $500 scholarship from Northern Neck Auxiliary Post #7167
The Northern Neck Auxiliary to Post #7167 Veterans of Foreign Wars in Warsaw is pleased to announce the award of three scholarships in the amount of $500 to each of the following recipients.
The applicants were required to meet a number of guidelines and requirements for scholarship consideration, the first of which was that they must be a child or grandchild of a member in good standing of the Auxiliary. They must have been accepted to or currently enrolled as a full time student in a two or four year college, or technical school, have a minimum 2.5 GPA, demonstrate merit, need, and/or community service involvement, as well as provide three letters of recommendation.
Caitlyn Cralle of Callao is a senior at Northumberland High School. She will attend the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg and plans to pursue a career in Business Administration. Caitlyn is the daughter of Chris and Jeanette Cralle and the granddaughter of Betty Cralle of Callao.
Rebecca Jones is a senior at Essex High School in Tappahannock, VA. She will attend Longwood University in Farmville with a Liberal Arts course of study. Rebecca is the daughter of Robert and Jill Jones of Tappahannock.
Joshua Pittman of Mechanicsville is a freshman at Randolph Macon College in Ashland and is a second year recipient of our scholarship. He is pursuing a degree in Computer Science. He is the son of Michael & Jacqueline Pittman of Mechanicsville and the grandson of Glenyss Pittman Clarke of Dunnsville.
