Tappahannock Essex Volunteer Fire Department to hold fund-raising golf tournament
On Saturday May 18, The Tappahannock Essex Volunteer Fire Department (TEVFD) will hold their annual fund-raising Golf Tournament at Hobbs Hole Golf Course, 1267 Hobbs Hole Drive in Tappahannock. In the past there have been as many as 35 four-person teams playing. This four-person captain’s choice tournament will tee off at 1:00 p.m. after a great lunch starting at 12:00 noon. The day concludes with a pork tenderloin dinner along with tournament prizes, door prizes, and awards.
The cost per team is $250, which covers green fees, cart, lunch and dinner. About this event, event organizer Joey Reinhardt said, “This is an important fund raiser for the Tappahannock Essex Volunteer Fire Department, but it’s also just a great time.
Proceeds from this tournament, will be used for capital purchases, including trucks, turnout gear, and other equipment.
